Absolutely fascinating place. No bells and whistles just a guy who loves his job and lots of fish you can get really close to. Brilliant.
Spotted a sign advertising this place at the Mull of Galloway lighthouse. Decided to give it a go and the whole family loved it . Our hosts where fantastic and explained the long history of the place and even got star fish out for us to see up close. Highly recommended!
Great and interesting little place. Very knowledgeable and informative guide/host (get here when it is quiet!)The opening times may be more 'flexible' than advertised, depending on tide and pond cleaning timescales. Would be nice to see an underwater camera live feed into the shop (especially at busier times or when flooded)
What a unique little gem of a place, or should I say plaice, as in fish. We visited here on our way to the Mull o Galloway, and wild camped in the car park. Who would believe that there is a place like this with a lot of history attached. Don't forget to go to the bathing hut and see where the lady's of the house used to swim. Please don't miss this wee bit of history.
Went there with the 2 boys and dog. Fabulous wee place. The young guy was excellent with us and brought down mussels for the boys to feed the fish. He brought out starfish and other cool creatures to let us see them up close. He was really gentle with them and was very knowledgeable . Really well worth going and very affordable .they're was evena bowl of a person's water out for the dog.
