We stopped overnight in August, 2018, at the touring site on the way to/from Cairnryan ferry to Belfast.This is mainly a residential caravan park with a small, grass touring park where we got to choose our own pitch with electric hook-up. All usual waste/water & laundry facilities available.There is a reception & bar (with very cheap prices) but no restaurant or shop. There are good eat-in/takeaways in nearby Stranraer & a burger van in the big lay-by at the park entrance does filled breakfast rolls.The toilet block was warm, with spacious, clean cubicles. The shower was cold but when reported to staff, was immediately rectified (gas bottle needed changed) & was then lovely & warm with no time-limit. Had a great Sunday night with park residents & site owners at their weekly karaoke (with free pizza). Returning on a Monday, the bar was open but quiet.Although checkout is supposed to be 10am, we were told they weren't strict & we didn't leave till mid-day.Nothing for families with young children but a brilliant stop-off for campervans/motor homes or touring caravans.The owners & staff are friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay again & recommend as a touring stop-over.
Ryanbay is a great little caravan site for families looking for a quiet getaway with a great view, also a beautiful long beach to walk along great for walking your pets.

Good site,great sea views, lovely caravans. Nice walks. Needs a wee site shop for daily papers, rolls,bread ,milk etc.
Just spent a nice long weekend with our trailer tent which was a first for us once we got everything set up we really enjoyed the peace and quiet all you could hear at night were the sheep the staff were very helpful and friendly will definitely be going back would recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday
